Ed & Joyce's Awesome Pepper Steak


Ingredients

2 lb. round steak
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 C. butter
2 green peppers, cut in strips
1 small onion, chopped
1 can tomatoes, cut up
1 beef bouillon cube

Directions    

Cut the meat in 2" X 1/4" strips.
Sprinkle with garlic powder and brown in the butter.  
Add onion, green pepper, tomatoes and bouillon cube.  
Cover and simmer 45 min.
 
While the meat is cooking, stir these ingredients together to make a sauce:
1/4 C. water
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. cornstarch (or 2 Tbsp. flour)     

When beef is finished cooking, add the sauce, stirring constantly.
Cook and stir until thick. Cook 2 min. more.  
Serve over rice or noodles.
