ELECT
JIM LOCKHART
for Chouteau Township Highway Commissioner
Meet Jim Lockhart

Jim, along with his family, was born and
raised in the Mitchell area.  Jim and his
wife Pam reside in Mitchell.  They have
six children, twelve grandchildren and
seven great grandchildren.

He is a lifelong Democrat.  He is a retired
Teamster who has driven all across
America to deliver new cars to the many
dealerships throughout our great country.

He is a forty two year Mason, an avid
gardener and he enjoys hunting and
fishing.

He helps out at the Chouteau, Nameoki
and Venice Pump Station by operating
the pumps during the times when the rain
and the flooding situations create
problems.  And by the way --
"THESE PUMPS ARE IN VERY POOR
CONDITION AND NEED TO BE
REPLACED"
Jim decided to run for Highway
Commissioner after hearing
numerous people complain about
the way our roads and our streets
are not maintained properly, and
about the flooding in some of the
neighborhoods in our township.

He strongly believes that these
isses are in need of more attention
and a stronger effort to fix these
problems than they are currently
receiving.

There is more that can and should
be done in regards to these
situations.

Jim is asking for you to help fix
these problems.  He needs your
vote on April 7, 2009 to help him get
into office and address these
situations correctly.

Let's fix - Not forget it

Thanks for your vote!

Rebuttal To My Opponent

First, I would like to thank GraniteCityGossip.com for the great job they
are doing for our community

In regards to my opponent stating that I am being devious and deceptive in my
tactics, here are the facts.

I did get paid to help out at the CNV pumping station.  In saying I help out, I mean that
anytime I was called to run the pumps, no matter what other plans I had. I always worked
the pumps anyway, including a holiday.

I am not implying hat the pumps are the responsibility of Chouteau Township.  These
pumps service three townships and I think that the people need to know about the
condition they are in, which I learned from hands on experience.

I have always supported and voted for Helen Hawkins, and will continue to do so.  She
work's tirelessly for all of us.  And by the way, she is a proud Democrat.

In regards to our poorly maintained roads and streets.  Our previous Highway
Commissioner, Dudley, maintained them without an asphalt paver and base pulverizer.

I am a strong believer in the saying, "Where there is a will, there is a way."
In this day and age is called '
GRANTS"

As for my signs, they do not state that I am a Democratic candidate, they simply
state that I am a Democrat, which I am very proud of.

If my opponent would have chosen to put Republican on his signs, I would not consider it
to be devious and deceptive.  I would consider him to be a proud Republican.

I am Jim Lockhart,
a proud Democrat, and I approve this rebuttal.
