| In Loving Memory of June Branding June Elois nee: Nightwine Branding, age 74, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center, Edwardsville, IL. June was born on August 30, 1938 in Granite City, IL, a daughter to the late Ross Owen and Edna Mae (Miller) Nightwine Sr. June graduated from Granite City High School in 1956. She then attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, IL and was a member of Gamma Omega Chapter, graduating with a Bachelor of Music Education degree in vocal and instrumental. On June 8, 1963, June married Richard Branding, the love of her life at Niedringhaus United Methodist Church in Granite City, IL. She was a former member and choir director at Nameoki United Methodist Church and First United Presbyterian Church both in Granite City, IL. June retired from the Granite City School district as an elementary music teacher after many years of dedicated service. She also taught vocal and instrument lessons in her home. June was very involved in her community; she was a charter member of the Madison County Arts Council Incorporated, serving four years as a director, on the board of directors and was the Past President of the Area Council P.T.A. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. June will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by two brothers, Ross Owen Nightwine Jr. and Roy Lee McGarrah; and her granddaughter, Natalie Renee Branding. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Richard Branding of Granite City, IL; three dear sons, Rick (Vicki) Branding of Granite City, IL, Stephen (Kimberly) Branding of Edwardsville, IL and Nathan (Susan) Branding of Granite City, IL; six and a half grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kristin, Brianna, Allison, Nicholas, Nathan and a baby girl on the way; and many dear friends. Visitation: friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Rd. Granite City, IL. A celebration of her life, funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2013 at Irwin Chapel, Granite City, IL with Rev. Jeffery Welch and Rev. Tim Pate officiating.
