| Happy September Granite City! The unofficial end of summer is upon us, the kids have gone back to school and before we realize it, it will be time for leaf raking, pumpkin carving and frosty mornings! With the beginnings of fall come many activities this month. The Gib Singleton Memorial Exhibit is at our Six Mile Regional Library for a limited engagement. Gib was a prolific Western and Biblical sculptor, some of his works are displayed at the Vactican. You don't want to miss the opportunity to see his beautiful art first hand. Cosmic Bingo to help raise funds for Partners for Pets, based in the nearby community of Highland takes place this month. And our own GC APA is hosting their annual Critterfest, as well as, one of their much anticipated Taco fund raisers too. Scroll down and check out the details. There is a concert by the Master's Voice Choir at the Alfresco Art Center, with free admission, as always, donations are greatly appreciated to help bring so many wonderful programs to Granite City. Don't forget the Blue Collar Blues & BBQ Fest will be downtown at Civic Park. Compete with your best BBQ recipe or simply partake of some great BBQ fare, sit back and enjoy the music.
