| The Edwardsville Municipal Band, under the direction of James Kerfoot, will present its sixth concert of the summer season on Thursday, July 14th at 8:00 P.M. in City Park near the Library at 112 S. Buchanan St. in Edwardsville This week’s concert features a euphonium quartet composed by SIUE Associate Professor of Composition, Kim Archer. The ensemble will play “Euph-Four-ia”, a light- hearted treatment of well-known musical phrases in music literature compiled into one piece with band accompaniment. The band will also feature band member Lisa Smith singing a love song first heard during WWII entitled “A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square” by Manning Sherwin. |
